“Joshua, can you please shut up for an hour, at least?” You groan, trying your hardest to focus on the blueprints given to you by Seungcheol. With the idiot behind you spilling out unnecessary words endlessly, you’re having a hard time figuring out which entrance is the best to take.

Said idiot pauses briefly, a glowing smile illuminating his whole being. The silence you begged for is relieving.

“Thank y-“

“Can you say it again?"

You groan. "Say what again? Because I can tell you to shut up an infinite amount of times but-"

"The name you gave me.” The celestial glow of excitement around him lights up the blueprints in front of you. He honestly appears to love hearing that name.

“If I do, will you stop talking so I can figure out the escape plan?” You turn to look at him, seeing him nod eagerly. He’s like some galactic puppy on espresso – annoying but cute sometimes.

“Joshua."

He has trouble containing the glee inside of him. He really, really loves that name, and he loves when you call him by it.

"Joshua!!” You shriek in anger, stumbling back away from the desk. He looks at where you once were, realizing his excitement resulted in the table lamp bursting to pieces. His expression and glow dim at your annoyance.

“I-I’m…” He tries really hard to look for the right word.

“A nuisance,” You spit.

“No, no…” He runs his hands through his hair, pacing in a circle, because damn, he really can’t remember the word that humans use when they do something wrong. It’s pitiful, really, seeing him forget how to apologize when you can think of a billion times he needs to do so.

“‘Sorry,’” you tell him.

“Yeah, yeah,” he points at you when he remembers the word as if you didn’t just tell him. “I’m sorry, Y/N."

You roll your eyes. "I can’t see the blueprints thanks to you.” You brush the shards of green lamp off of the paper you were studying. You strain your eyes to see the lines in the dark, mentally cursing Joshua for destroying your only light source.

“Let me help you,” he’s by your side before you can deny him, his palm hovering over the blueprints. A bright and surprising steady glow comes from his hand, illuminating the paper for you.

“…Thanks.” And you continue to observe with Joshua’s help.
